Alors que le budget de la Sécurité sociale est passé in extremis le 16 décembre, l'Assemblée nationale vient de reprendre l'examen du budget de l'État. Par la voix du député Philippe Brun, le PS se désespère : « Le gouvernement ne fait rien pour faire naître le compromis espéré ». Toutes leurs propositions ont en effet été rejetées en commission, aussi bien par la droite que par les macronistes.
